Program Overview

The Agribusiness Entrepreneurship course is designed to empower students to transform agricultural output into profitable, sustainable business ventures. It teaches the application of core business and economic principles specifically within the dynamic agricultural and food sector.

The curriculum focuses heavily on practical skill development in strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and value chain analysis. A key emphasis is placed on developing sustainable, inclusive, and climate-smart business models that address modern challenges in the food system.

Key Learning Outcomes

Students gain essential practical skills through real-world case studies and structured learning modules, enabling them to:

  1. Develop robust business plans for agricultural enterprises.

  2. Master techniques in value addition, food processing, and efficient distribution.

  3. Implement effective risk mitigation and resource management strategies.

  4. Utilize market intelligence to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the global food supply chain.

Requirements:

The following documents must be brought the day of admission.
Photocopies of:

  1. Primary School Leaving Certificate and Result slip/certificate
  2. Secondary School Result slip/certificate and Leaving Certificate, if any
  3. National ID if any /Birth Certificate.
  4. Four passport-sized photographs
  5. Duly signed copy of declaration in the code of conduct by the student and parent/guardian/ sponsor (a copy enclosed)

 

NOTE: The student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the first day of admission.
